Modern Jazz Class designed for Ages 7 - 10
Jazz for Kids! explores jazz dance and movement influenced by music from around the world. Jazzy percussive rhythms found in the music of Africa, the Caribbean and other lands, invite children to expand their movement vocabulary & musical awareness. Utilizing ballet based vocabulary, the warm-up for the class will safely and gently promote stretching and strengthening to promote good posture, balance, and placement. This class will provide lots of high energy dance moves, increase coordination and dance skills, promote athleticism as well as tap into the children's creativity! This age-appropriate and fun Kids Jazz! class for boys and girls is a perfect complement to the ballet classes at the school.
